The UN Inter-agency Task Force on Financing for Development has released the fourth edition of the “Financing for Sustainable Development Report”, which provides a comprehensive assessment of the state of sustainable finance in 2019. The report offers recommendations for achieving concrete progress on financing for development, with a focus on the five SDGs under review at the July 2019 High-level Political Forum: those on quality education, decent work and economic growth, reduced inequalities, climate action, and peace, justice and strong institutions.The Report urges the international community to use this chance to reformulate the national and international financial systems to allow for sustainable development. recommends that the international community should use this opportunity to reshape both national and international financial systems in line with sustainable development. At stake is our ability to comply with the 2030 Agenda.
