Pavan SUKHDEV

Pavan SUKHDEV has defined himself as a scientist by education, an international banker by training, and an environmental economist by passion. Formerly Managing Director of Global Markets at Deutsche Bank, he left in 2008 to pursue his dream job as Study Leader of TEEB (The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity). He has since been awarded the Blue Planet Prize (2016) and the Tyler Prize (a.k.a the Environmental Nobel Prize) in 2020, and was a McCluskey Fellow at Yale University, where he taught a postgraduate course from 2011-12. He founded GIST Impact, leading impact valuation experts and providers of impact data to investors and corporations worldwide, to address and solve the problem of negative corporate externalities.
